In August 2005, we awarded an educational sponsorship to a medical student from the southern coastal town of Hambantota who lost his father and brother during the tsunami.  In December 2005, I was able to visit with him and his family and tell them that we share their sorrow during the one year anniversary of the tsunami.  He is doing well in his studies and also helped with emergency food distribution during my visit.
