While some progress has been made in building new permanent housing, thousands of people are still living in temporary housing.  The rebuilding of permanent housing remains a critical need.  Hopefully, in the months ahead this will occur at a much more rapid pace. This will greatly improve the quality of life for those affected by the tsunami and still living in basic temporary shelter.
