We are pleased to announce that the library which we provided funding for earlier in this year has opened and has begun to serve children and families in a remote village in the Hambantota area.

Previously, children and families in the area had to travel up to 20km to get to the nearest library.  By having the library closer to their home, children and families in this area will read more often and this will help provide more opportunities for them in the future.  

The residents of the area are very excited about this new library in their community. 

Additional school and micro-credit related projects designed to provide long term assistance to tsunami affected children and families in Sri Lanka are planned for the future.
